Message from the President

On behalf of the Bishop Fallon High School/ Holy Angels Collegiate Institute Board of Directors, I wish you, and your family a “Happy, Blessed and Healthy New Year”.

2010 was a great year for our Alumni activities.  Our annual golf tournament raised over $5500 for Catholic Education as over 100 attendees enjoyed a great day.  Our 9th annual Hall of Fame dinner in October welcomed approximately 200 people, as seven new inductees were welcomed into the Hall of Fame.

The Board has planned another year of special events for 2011. Our first event is the 8th Annual Michael P. Kirwan Golf Tournament. . It is being moved to the Lancaster Country Club and will be held on Monday, June 6th, 2011. The All Years Reunion will return to DiTondo’s Tavern on Saturday June 6th after a one year absence.  Our final event is the 10th Hall of Fame Weekend.  The Hall of Fame dinner will be held on Friday, October 28th at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens for the induction of our new honorees.  Our annual Alumni Mass, honoring our new Hall of Fame members as well as remembering all of our Alumni, will be on Saturday October 29th at Holy Angels Church.

We need your continuing support of the Alumni programs as the proceeds from each event go towards supporting Catholic Education in WNY.

Hall of Fame Nominations for the Bishop Fallon High School/Holy Angels Collegiate Institute’s Hall of Fame must be submitted to the Alumni Board no later than April 15th of each year. All Alumni and staff of both schools are eligible to be nominated. Nomination forms are attached.

Call to Committee The BFHS/HACI Alumni Association is in need of alumni to assist on the following committees. Please contact any member of the alumni board if you can help.   Hall of Fame Committee - help organize the Hall of Fame Dinner, flowers and program Hall of Fame Nomination Committee - Review nominations. Reunion Committee - help organize the Reunion (caterer, place, mailing, etc) Your own class Committee - - contact classmates by e-mail, phone and mailing - update class list with correct mailing addresses, email addresses and phone numbers. Golf Tournament - We need help with prizes, solicitations for sponsorships and workers on the day of the tournament.

The class of 1951(HACI) will be celebrating its 60th reunion. The class of 1956(HACI) will be celebrating its 55th reunion. The class of 1961(BFHS) will be celebrating its 50th reunion. The class of 1966(BFHS) will be celebrating its 45th reunion. The class of 1971(BFHS) will be celebrating its 40th reunion. The class of 1976(BFHS) will be celebrating its 35th reunion. The All Years Reunion would like to feature the above classes at the reunion, especially 1951, 1961 and 1971.
